Since I’m not merely a dirty gratuitous slag, but also exceptionally lazy, I originally hosted the first iteration of this here webilydong over at that other place where just about everyone and their granny hosts their blogs and websites. I did that, despite knowing about, and absolutely loving the idea of – neocities. Turns out I'm pure trash. Go figure.

But fortunately, I realized that my treasonous sojourn betwixt the corporate sheets of shame had to be put to an heave. It simply didn’t make much sense to host a site that’s all about sharing free sample libraries – on a corporate bootlicker platform that’s pretty hardcore anti-privacy and data-exploitation. Besides, it’s more fun to build your own wobbly web-shed out of toothpicks and duct-tape.

So here we are, at the grand reopening of Gretchen’s Wretched Lab Notes. This time ad-free and with 23% more cum-stains. Have a look around and you might find something useful in one of mine naughty drawers. And if not, well hopefully you had fun at least.

I have a fair amount of DecentSampler libraries coming up. Mostly organic pads, soundscapes, underscoring textures, and a few sampled synths. So make sure to check back later if you're in to that sort of thing.

BEATS FROM OUTER SPACE?? – Venera14 Drum Machine!

This time I’ve got something deliciously alien for you, quite literally.

Venera14 Drum Machine is a free DecentSampler-instrument made from audio recordings captured by the Soviet space-probe from which it takes its name.


The Story.

I am the one they call Gretchen, an audio-marauder of the most wretched character.

I’m a scribbler, busker, nudist-philosopher, love-smith, warrior-poet, mad scientist, fatal femme, radical berry picker, activist, bender of strings, reaperologist, inhaler of herbs, maker of things, wanderer, and an occasional baker of sample-libraries and other such audio-alchemies, or so the story goes..

I kinda got infected with the sample-making-virus a while back, which makes for wonderfully productive procrastinations, so I figured I might as well share some of my sins with the rest of the gools, and decided to knit this twisted web of blogetry together, for the purposes of sharing my abominations with you lot.
